ABOUT ART

Art Denomme is a Computer Network Support Technologist for Cambrian College's Job Connect program. He works out of the Val Caron campus, and is responsible for all aspects of computer and network support at the Cambrian campuses in Val Caron, Espanola and Little Current.

Art graduated from Cambrian's Audiovisual Technology Program in 1975 and has been employed with Cambrian College since then. Over the years, Art has held a number of positions with the college: Job Developer with the Job Connect program, Employment Consultant with the jobsOntario Training program, Employment Consultant with the Futures program, Photography Instructor, Media Production Technologist, and Support Technologist for the Audiovisual Program.

One of Art's passions is researching his "Denomme" family roots. He has spent the last few years searching out those roots. Based on his research, and input from his many CuZins around North America, he published a 553 page book on his family's genealogy that was printed in early 2006 called "Denomme - 400 years of family". Anyone who knows Art, will also know that his other passion is a certain '92 Toyota Celica GTS that he refers to as his "summer car". From April to November .. roof open .. tunes playing .. it is rare to see him driving anything else ... unless there is snow on the ground. The end of October

2004 saw the Celica re-emerge from two months in the body shop with body work and new paint, all completed by Art's son Adam. Adam picked Silver Streak Mica (same colour found on the 2005 Celica), as the new colour for his dad's toy. He did an incredibly awesome job, for his "first" complete paint job.
